Updates!

Yay! I’m glad people like the layout and the gift, I’m working on the site again, after I kind of abandoned it, lol!

I’ve started putting some visitor content up again, since I took it down awhile ago before I fully mastered CSS and had to go and change each page because something was playing up. Hopefully now that I know what I’m doing itll be easier to maintain more pages!

I’ve also started up my affie birthday list again, for 2007. I WISH I’d kept my old list with everyone’s birthdays on it, since quite a lot of people don’t list them on their sites, for privacy reasons or whatever, which is understandable, particularly if you’re young and your parents are worried.

Here’s a list of the birthdays I haven’t found…

ANTOINETTE
JOSIE
RINA
AMY
CRISTINA
LINDA
KERRI
RAYY
LINDSAY
ELLE
CHIBI M.
CRYSTAL
RISSY

If you’re on here and don’t want to give your real birthday (you don’t have to put the year, lol), feel free to make one up! I’m sure a lot of people do, this is this internet, hahah! The actual list itself can be found HERE, if you’re curious.

Anyway, I think that’s about it for now…

New Layout!

Yay! I finally got a new layout up! I didn’t make this one myself, but I needed a change so badly that I put this one up while I think about making one of my own. I think it looks quite “blogish”, if that’s even a word! :D

I hope you all had a very enjoyable Christmas, thanks so much to everyone who has given me gifts! I’ve put them all up now, as you can see if you go to the gifts page (if it doesn’t show the latest ones, just hit refresh, my browser played up here so yours might too).

Ok, so what did I do over Christmas…in my oh-so-exciting life!? We spent it with Dad’s sister and her family which was cool, since we don’t get to see very much of them :) We got back yesterday, after a two and a half hour drive, which wasn’t too bad. I guess since it was the day after Boxing Day most people were already back from holiday and therefore weren’t on the road! We had a right moron in front of us on the way up though! They were in a mini 4WD (One of those Rav 4 things) and were swerving all over the place, over the center line and everything! We were getting a bit worried since it looked as though they had a carload of children in the back and might have been a drunk driver! Either that or someone really unfamiliar with the vehicle and/or the road! We were just lucky we weren’t meeting them coming the other way towards us!

I got some cool presents, including a memory stick for my camera, which will be handy, lol! I also got lots of body lotions and nice smelly stuff, which was cool, 2 books, both of which I’d read by the end of Christmas Day! Everyone else in my family was asleep after dinner, but I was reading!

Hmm, what else happened…Phantom of the Opera was on TV on Christmas night. I sat and watched it, since I never went to see it when it was on at the movies. I really liked Emmy Rossum. She and I have the same birthday, only she’s a year older, and the thought that she was only 16 or 17 when she played Christine is extremely impressive! For some reason she reminds me of Alexis Bledel! Just out of curiosity, does anyone happened to know if her hair for Christine Daae is a wig? I’m interested because it’s almost identical to my hair, and yet I’ve never seen any pictures of her as herself with hair like that. I know she had curly hair, but not quite that long and curly… I also liked Minnie Driver, although I know most of her singing for Carlotta was dubbed, I do like the song she recorded at the end, Learn to be Lonely. She has quite a good voice herself, but obviously she can’t sing opera.

Merry Christmas 2006!

Just dropping by to wish all my readers a Merry Christmas before I go away tomorrow until Wednesday…when I get back I will have a new layout :D

Shows so far…

Well, after commenting to Cristina that I’d actually go and write something here, I figured I should do it! :D

We opened on Saturday afternoon, which, although it was a strange time, since I’m used to opening at night, was good. We had a full house and heaps of kids, which helped us with our energy.

Saturday night was our second show and we only had 60 something, which wasn’t too bad, since the theatre only seats 97ish anyway. After this show we had our “opening night party”, which basically involved one of the other guys and I sitting around trying to explain Wicked to this other girl, who was getting more and more confused as we went on! In the end we told her to Google it, hopefully Google does a better job at explaining than we did!

On Sunday afternoon something funny went wrong. In this show the crocodile is a big skateboard type thing with a guy lying inside it sliding along on his stomach. I’ve never been inside it, but apparently it’s very difficult to see or hear anything (a bad start!) so I suppose it wasn’t surprising that Simon misjudged his exit and hit the wall between the curtains leading into the wings and the foyer exit! The kids in the front row of the audience didn’t know what to do, suddenly the crocodile was coming towards them! In the end the stage manager had to stick his arm out and pull him off, since Simon had no idea where he was, just that he was still somewhere on stage!

After this show some of us went bowling and then to someones house for dinner, since we had no evening show. It was fun, I have lots of photos, but I don’t think it would be a good idea, since some of the people bowling are younger people and I’m not sure whether they’d appreciate their photos on the internet. (I do have some more though, of myself etc, which will be up by Saturday night)

Last night was one of THOSE shows. It was so funny because before we even started a few things had happened, like people knocking things over and bumping into stuff and I said to Jen, who plays Wendy, ‘Here we go, this is going to be a LOOONG night!” and Sam (Peter Pan) was like “No! Don’t say that! I’ve gotta fly!”

Famous last words. He didn’t. Something happened to the fly line so that when he jumped off and was supposed t be pulled across, he just dangled instead! Luckily he managed not to panic and just hung there in character until the lighting people brought the lights down and pulled the curtain so they could unhook him and get him down! He was fine, so that was ok, and when I left last night some of the crew were already looking at it to try and find out what had gone wrong.

Wow. This was a long blog! I’ve another show tonight, and every night until next Saturday :D
