“Either they’ve won or Suzanne just realised she’s squirted something in Stefano’s eye!”

For the last 8 weeks I’ve been watching the New Zealand version of Dancing with the Stars and since last night was the final, and my favourite contestant, Suzanne Paul won, I figured I had to post!

I also had to post these photos, which I got off the TVNZ (Television New Zealand) website because the caption they had in their gallery for the one on the left was just too funny! “Either they won, or Suzanne just realised she squirted something in Stefano’s eye!” ROFL! It’s funny coz it’s true! That IS exactly what it looks like!

I was very excited when they won, because the other finalist earned herself (possibly unfairly, I’ve never met her, so I don’t know) a reputation for being overly cocky and self assured throughout the whole competition. I suppose a good example of this was at the very end, just before the MC announced who had won. She and her partner were smiling (a little smugly) and looked as though they knew they were going to win, but they didn’t! Which made me, and a lot of other people, quite happy.

It’s not that I disliked the other finalist, she was really good too and definitely deserved to be in the final, I just like Suzanne better! She’s just so awesome!

Background colour…

Thanks to everyone who commented or tagged yesterday and let me know that the background colour of the blog was white, so nothing was able to be read! Is it still white now, or has it changed back to the brown colour it’s supposed to be? I can’t SEE the error on my computer, which makes trying to fix it very difficult indeed! Thanks to Gem, who screenshotted the problem for me so I know what other people were seeing! Darn! Why can’t the whole world just use Firefox! :whoa:

As for the comment form, it’s not so stretched now, but it’s still pretty darn ugly, and I’m still none the wiser on how to fix it. I apologise to those of you who have had to use the tagboard to contact me instead!

Right now I’m in the library at uni waiting to see if my friend is going to arrive, since I know she finishes class right about now. It’s so weird, there are two guys next to me, about 3 feet away, who seem to be asleep! I’m sitting in/on a beanbag downstairs in the kind of “chill out area”, so I guess it’s not so usual that they’re asleep here as it would be if they were upstairs at the desks, but still, lol!

I’ll probably be hanging out at uni for the rest of the day today, since I have a meeting at work at 6, and it’s easier to just go straight to that from uni that to try and go home first and come back. I have an essay due on Friday too, so it’s not as if I have nothing to do anyway!

A more exciting blog!

After the incredibly boring entry that was my last blog, I finally have some (semi) interesting things to blog about, lol.

Firstly, I’d like to clarify that the person who antagonised the dog by dressing themselves up in glad wrap was not me, ROFL! I was not glad wrapped at any time, it was another guy in my drama group and I just happened to be there, watching and laughing and poking fun at him! I’d never do anything like that…although if I’d thought of it before he did I may have considered it!

I also saw this on Yahoo News: Bird poops on President Bush! How on earth is this newsworthy!? It’s just so silly, but funny! I’ve watched the video and the poop isn’t that obvious, but still. Lol!

I also found out tonight that a very close friend of mine might have cancer. She went to the doctor and they think they managed to get rid of it, but she won’t know for sure until next week when she gets the results back. It’s highly likely she’ll be fine, but still, it’s a scary thought. I hope we don’t have to go down that road, but if we do, then that’s life and we’ll just have to deal with whatever comes, as it comes.

Anyway, that’s enough blogging about President Bush, and the personal lives of friends who don’t even know they’re being mentioned, so I’m going to end here, with a recommendation to go and join Death of You MB, a new board that Grace has just opened, and it’s super duper organised and running great already, so it’s definitely worth taking a look at!

Poor sad abandoned blog :(

Oh dear, I feel like I’ve been abandoning this blog! I know it’s only been a few days, but it feels like a lot longer, thanks for all the comments, very cool.

I really have nothing to say, drama and uni and work have consumed my life, although, that said, I would like to share a piece of wisdom I learned a few days ago…

If you are near a dog (even one you know), it is a bad idea to wrap yourself up in glad wrap (cling film). It causes the dog to fail to recognise you and go absolutely berserk growling and barking at what it sees as a threatening mummy.

I have mail!

Yay! A couple of days ago I got some lovely mail from Poppy, because I won her contest to guess the title of the song used in her layout! She sent me pretty earrings, a necklace and Mike & Ike jellybeans, which was very exciting, because we don’t have them over here! I wish we did though, they’re amazing…maybe I’ll have to try and buy some online instead!

I’d take a picture of the jewellery, but Mum’s taken my camera to Europe with her and my phone camera’s not high enough quality for it to be worth bothering.

Oh, by the way, did you know that your (Poppy’s) site’s header looks like a screenshot from an ad that used to be on TV over here? I don’t remember what the ad was for, but I think it might have been for a printer or a scanner or something similar. Hmmm…I wish I could remember, it’ll probably drive me crazy now!

Other than that, not a lot of excitingness has been going on in my life. I’m still rehearsing nearly ever day for my drama assessment, and I’m still trying to teach myself to pixel. :D

The drama assessment is a bit scary, since it’s 50% of our final grade as is in less that three weeks time! There’s a group of three of us doing an interpreted version of Ruzzante Returns from the War. It’s fun and kind of rude in places, but it’s also a lot of work.

Speaking of drama, something funny (and cute) happened on Thrusday. One of the women in the class brings her dog to lectures! It’s a really funny dog too, not sure what type it is, it’s just kind of a mutt, but very sweet. Overall the dog is well behaved, he just snuffles around under the seats in the theatre looking for things to try and eat, but on Thursday he was a bit restless, so Liz took him backstage and tried to get him to settle down and stay out of the way. He stayed there for about 5 minutes and then we saw his nose poking around the corner of the curtain in the wings! Liz took him back AGAIN, and of course he came back AGAIN! It’s understandable really, I wouldn’t want to sit in the dressing room either, if I knew there were people having fun just around the corner! Teehee, I don’t really like dogs, but he’s cute!

Pixelling-wise, I’m halfway through making another one right now. Thanks to everyone who has given me advice (either via MSN, on here or on boards), I really appreciate it!
