01. A picture of you in your bedroom.
Well I know I’m not IN this photo, and it’s from 2006 so it’s not even recent, but MAN I miss my room being this tidy, so I thought I ought to post it to motivate myself!

02. A picture with someone you don’t actually like.
I don’t think I have any photos of me with someone I dislike, and even if I did, I don’t think it’d be appropriate to post them online under such a title!
N/A
03. A picture of you very drunk.
I have never actually BEEN drunk, therefore, no photo.

04. A picture of you on your birthday or favourite holiday.
This was my 20th birthday. As this photo was being taken, a giant spider was dangling on a thread right above me! I didn’t see it, but other people did! I’m kind of sad it’s not visible in the photo – that would have been funny.

05. The youngest photo of yourself you can find in digital format.
Not 100% sure how old I am here, but I’m guessing about 3.

06. A picture in one of your favourite outfits.
Christmas Day 2008. You can’t really see it in this photo, but I’m wearing a very cool purple and teal paisley print dress. Also pictured here is my lovely younger cousin.

07. A picture of yourself making a goofy face at the camera.
At the very end of high school. I cropped my friend out here because she, sadly, was not participating in the making of goofy faces.

08. A picture you might have edited to make yourself look more attractive.
Black and white FTW! Although, strangely, I still look like myself! This one was taken on my cellphone, which is why it’s very small.

09. A picture of a night you regret.
I don’t think I have any photos of stuff I regret!

10. A picture of you truly being yourself.
This is me how I see me. Probably a good thing that this is the first impression most of my blog visitors have of me! Smiley!

11. A most recent picture of you.
This one, taken backstage at Oliver Twist, is only a couple of weeks old. It’s the most recent one of me in my iPhoto library. I downloaded it from Facebook, which is why it’s extremely tiny.

12. A picture of you being absolutely ridiculous!
Not the most attractive picture of me, but this was so funny! We were seeing if we could blow each other away with straws. All of us in this photo are awesome. Except for Brooke. She FAILs. Her straw isn’t even pointed at me!

13. A picture showing off a new hair cut/colour.
What? You’re suggesting this isn’t my real hair!? How ridiculous! Incidentally this is the same day as the previous photo!

14. A picture of a time in your life that is over but you wish it wasn’t.
Ah yes, back in the days when I was able to do theatre without it being clouded with drama (as in crap, not as in acting) and awkward relationships! I am the bunny rabbit, FYI. Incidentally, the person playing Puss in this panto (Puss in Boots), just happens to be Andrea! We were 15 and 17, and lost touch after this show, but rediscovered each other this year, thanks to the strange phenomenon which is blogging…and a mutual friend.

15. A picture of a time in your life that is over and you’re thankful that it is.
Not this show itself, that was fine, I just don’t relish the thought of remembering what else was happening that same night! I’m the Indian on the far left, btw.

16. A picture of when you were anything but happy.
Ugh. I don’t even want to think about all the things that were going through my mind at the time this photo was taken.

17. A picture that you had no idea was being taken.
Me on stage in Oliver Twist. I had a vague idea someone was photographing this performance, but it’s not as if I posed for this picture or anything. WOW my profile is different to how I usually (think I) look!

18. A picture of when you were a different person to how you are now.
I’m at the back, in the green and black dress (which I loved! I was VERY sad to hear that it was thrown away after this show, I would happily have adopted it!). I was fourteen here. Not sure why I’m not really smiling, I don’t remember being unhappy! Maybe I just wasn’t ready.

19. A picture with someone you love.
If she and I had been competing (Not that we were. At all. Definitely not.) to see who was the cheesiest, who would win?
N/A
20. A picture of how you want the world to see you.
*whine* This one is too hard! I’ve used all my good photos already!

21. A picture that describes how you want everyday to be.
Warm and sunny. Lol. I’m really not a fan of winter. :/ Nor am I a fan of swimming, oddly, but that pool was too awesome not to go in!

22. A picture of a time when everything was changing.
End of high school. That was a pretty big change! Strangely though, I don’t think I look much different. I was eighteen there!

23. A picture that makes your heart hurt.
When I think of the person who took it. FYI yes that IS a toilet we are standing in, and yes it is full of Christmas decorations!

24. A picture that makes your heart smile.
SERIOUSLY bad photo (I don’t think the camera flashed properly), but I still smile when I remember what I was thinking about. Lol.

25. A picture from one of the best days/nights of your life.
Silly, I know, but this show was awesome. It’d easily be in my top 3 favourites.

Thanks to Shell at Pink and Green Acres I now have another blog award to add to my slowly growing collection! Sorry it took me SO long to post this! I’d been waiting for a day with nothing else to write about!

4. Comment on their blogs to let them know they’ve received this award
5. Share the love and link to this post and the person who nominated you for the award.
6. Tell us how you’ve come to have an attitude of gratitude.
What am I grateful for in the blogging world? People. Everyone who comes and visits this blog is made of awesome.
I have a feeling that the purpose of this blog has changed A LOT in the last little while. I think I’ve become more of a “blogging blogger” as opposed to “let’s see what kind of snazzy layout I can create in Photoshop blogger”. This seems to have attracted a different kind of reader and I think the whole thing is just more “me”.
Who are my 10 people…oh man, I hope I can think of ten!
1. Kelly – Kelly’s Korner (For making me smile every day with cute pictures of Harper, even though I don’t “know” her.)
2. Erin – Miss Erin (For being a fellow theatre person)
3. Rebecca – Making Memories (For introducing me to some very cool music.)
4. Brandy – John & Brandy’s Story
5. Andrea – A Cat of Impossible Colour (For unexpected popping up out of the woodwork!)
6. Kaitlyn – Upturned Barbie (For being patient while attempting to explain predestination)
7. Jenny – Sam Saturday (For being my friend IRL)
8. Brooke – Violet Serene (For being my friend IRL)
9. Ally – Today is My Birthday (For entertaining me on Twitter, and on Monday nights)
10. Chelsea – Paper Cakes (For making me want to buy lace and use it on cards!)

Yes. This cheery little individual is indeed a capsicum with a smiley face.
Happy Pepper (HP) is a bit of an in-joke between my friend and I.
At the moment we’re both frantically trying to finish large amounts of end-of-semester work for university. My workload isn’t too bad, only a 3000 word essay and a tutorial presentation to be finished by next Thursday/Friday, but she’s doing 3 classes with lots of work for each of them.
To assist her in her studying/essay writing, she has been consuming large amounts of junk food and coffee (to which she is newly addicted – bwahahah!).
Being the incredibly weird awesome friend that I am, I thought she needed some health-themed entertainment while she was in the library.
So, on my way to work yesterday afternoon, I decided to stop off at the supermarket. I was originally going to buy a carrot, since I thought the green hair might have been rather stylish, but the only carrots they had in stock had already been scalped!
Eventually I settled on a pepper, and decided on bright yellow since I figured the light colour would be the easiest to draw on.
Once I had my pepper, I then proceeded to get on the bus to work, and use the spare time to draw the face. Perhaps unsurprisingly, this netted me several funny looks from other passengers, who were wondering what in the world I was doing!
Once I got to the library (which is near to work) I proceeded to take Mr. Happy Pepper out of his bag and sit him on the desk (in this photo he seems to have climbed onto her iPod!?). I don’t know whether my friend was amused…or just disturbed, but judging by how much she was laughing, I think she was amused.
Yup. I’m…a little strange, but I thought this was worth sharing, for some Tuesday morning entertainment!
Now that I have had quite lot of guesses on Archery? Church? Goat? I figured it’s time to reveal which two things really happened, and which didn’t…
Firstly, I DID indeed do archery at high school! In Year 12 I was enrolled in the IB programme. As part of IB, we had to take part in something called CAS, (Creativity, Action, Service). The purpose of CAS was to make sure that we didn’t become so focussed on our academic work that we didn’t do anything else. Most people at my school interpreted the Action component as being a sport. As I am not particularly sporty, I (along with some like-minded friends) selected archery. Although I was not very good at it, I did once manage to score a bullseye!! In the center of the target next-door to the one I was aiming for. O.O This lack of ability, combined with the huge bruises I acquired (even THROUGH an arm guard!) explains why this “sport” was rather short-lived.
Secondly, I am NOT currently attending Alpha courses. The idea for this false statement came to me a couple of days ago, when I was riding the bus past a church with a large billboard outside it advertising these courses. Although I initially really did think one of these might be worth attending, on doing some further research on their website, I deduced that they are intended for people who KNOW they want to become a Christian, and are looking for a church-based support group to assist them in doing this. In short, not me.
Thirdly, many of you will be delighted to hear that yes, I WAS indeed butted down a hill by a goat as a small child! I live at the top of a quarry. Although this quarry was originally used for mining stone, this ceased to be the case in the early 1990s, and it was eventually developed into a snazzy reserve. Several years before the reserve was created, our neighbours got permission to graze a family of goats along behind all the houses at the top. Other than minimal fencing to prevent the goats from escaping either onto the road or into private gardens, these lovely creatures were pretty much free to roam wherever they liked.
The Unfortunate Incident occurred when I was three or four years old. One day my parents and I decided that instead of just feeding and petting the goats through the fence (as a smaller, chubbier version of me can be seen doing in the photo below), we would open our back gate and visit them on their side of the fence. Bad idea. I don’t remember the specifics of what I DID to annoy one particular goat so much that I ended up being bowled over and rolling several metres down the hill before coming to a stop thanks to the fence, but that was exactly what happened! :/
Thankfully I was not injured, am not fearful of goats as an adult and, as far as my parents are concerned, The Day Holly Was Butted By A Goat seems to be remembered as a humorous event as opposed to an occasion upon which their only daughter suffered grievous bodily harm!

I don’t know whether this was the goat that actually did the butting or not, but I took this photo-of-a-photo anyway, so you can see what they looked like and how large they were – well, at least compared to me!

Since I think it’s time for me to blog about something OTHER than drama for awhile, here is a little quiz for everybody. Which of these things about me is NOT true…
1. I did archery, in high school, and frequently ended up with huge bruises on the insides of my arms from the bow’s string.
2. I have recently started attending an Alpha course to try and learn more about Christianity.
3. As a small child, I was once butted down a hill by a goat.
Hmm, how good a liar am I? Hopefully pretty good, since I’ve tried making things complicated enough that even Brooke and Jenny, who know me pretty well, might not be able to guess! HAH!
So which is the lie? Archery? Church? Goat?
