Awesome Things

I seem to be developing a little bit of an obsession with Etsy. Not only does it make me extremely jealous of the people who are awesome and creative enough to HAND MAKE all of these things, but it also makes me wish I had a unlimited credit card, so I could go on there and buy THEIR ENTIRE SITE. Seriously. Except for the taxidermy section, because that is just weird.

1. Lilac Hair Pins: I don’t usually wear hair pins, since I have such a lot of hair they tend to get lost in it, but these are so CUTE!
2. Quilted Pillow Cover: I kind of want to eat this. It would not match my bedroom in the slightest, but it’s so pretty!
3. Pink Weave Laptop Sleeve: This is something I actually do need. Kind of.
4. Round Kitty: Look at it! It’s so FAT!
5. Mimi the Mermaid: Kind of ugly, kind of beautiful I can’t QUITE decide…
6. Deep Purple Hemp/Cotton Bag: Love purple. Love bags. :D
7. Feather Headband: It took me awhile to work out whether or not I liked this. In the end I think Brooke got it right when she said that it’d be awesome for going out, but a bit strange for just wearing normally. Even though I totally would!
8. Butterflies: I would TOTALLY use these for scrapbooking! Man I wish I could crochet!
9. Patricia: OMG. *want* Could she be any cuter if she tried! I want a teddy bear!!
10. Personality Type button: Hahah I don’t know how seriously I take the Myers Briggs test, but it’d still be funny to wear one of these!
11. Lap Quilt: I just really liked the colours of this, they’re the same as my bedroom!
12. Glitter Hearts: No clue what I’d do with these, I just think they’re awesome and sparkly!

What awesome things have you seen/bought on Etsy lately?

Ok…

Ok I know I don’t usually do two posts in a day, but this is a kind of important question so I didn’t want to just tack it onto the bottom of my previous post.

I am stuck.

If you were trying to make a list of your Favourite Things (items, not people or hobbies), what would you include?

Funny ESOL…Saturday.

Yes. This really should be Funny ESOL FRIDAY, but since I FAILed miserably at blogging yesterday, it is Saturday instead.

In short, no, I sadly do not have anything nearly so entertaining as last week’s Hitler Sausage (which you should definitely go and visit if you haven’t already done so), but there are a few amusing annecdotes.

Master 13 (who I think is actually 12, it seems that Korean people calculate their ages slightly different to Western people) likes to draw. During some downtime this week he decided to draw cartoon versions of himself, his sister, me and the manager of the ESOL centre.

Master 13, Miss 15 and I were all very cute, smiley and happy looking. So was the first cartoon version of the manager. The second cartoon was the funny part. He had drawn her as a hideous looking zombie, with firey hair, a great big stick and speech bubble above her head shouting “STUDY!”

Amusingly, the manager is in fact very easy going, talkative and kind, and would NEVER turn into a firey zombie, wave a stick or shout at them to study! Hehehe! Unfortunately he kept his caricatures, so I don’t have a photo to show you, but I thought this situation was still funny enough to be worth mentioning!

For those of you who were wondering, yes, she did see her Zombie-fied self, and seemed to think it was really funny! :P
