Did this on this date last year too, so I figured today must be the day!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?
Probably gift bags. I know some people don’t like them because you can look into the and see the gift before you’re supposed to, but I just think they’re pretty!

2. Real tree or Artificial?
After I did this meme last year we did actually end up getting a new tree. It’s pretty big (8ft) but is definitely better than the one we used to have. It’s not up yet though, thanks to house renovations taking up a lot of room.

3. When do you put up the tree?
No specific day, just some date in early/mid December. Hopefully sometime soon!

4. When do you take the tree down?
Again, no specific date, just some time late December/early January.

5. Do you like eggnog?
I’ve never tried it, I don’t think it’s very popular in NZ. I think Starbucks Christmas drinks win by a long shot.

6. Favorite gift received as a child?
Hmmm, I don’t remember, probably Barbie, or a scooter. This is the same answer as last year, lol!

7. Hardest person to buy for?
This year I think it’s my parents. I’ve already got gifts for most of my friends, but am still drawing a blank on what to give my parents.

8. Easiest person to buy for?
This year, a friend. It’s kind of random, yet amusing. Perhaps after Christmas is over I will blog about what it was. :)

9. Do you have a nativity scene?
Nope.

10. Mail or email Christmas cards?
I don’t usually send that many cards out, I usually only put them with presents that I give to people in person. Last year I made them all, and I think they looked awesome, but this year I’m not so inspired. I think I’ll buy them.

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?
I’m not sure, but I suspect that toiletries and body lotion I turned out to be allergic to would probably be up there!

12. Favorite Christmas Movie?
I don’t think I have one! Maybe I’ll have to buy myself Love, Actually this year, and watch that. :)

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas?
November/December. I’ve started this year, but haven’t finished yet.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?
No, I think I’ve probably recycled wrapping paper though – I get that from my mother.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?
Desert things, and chips. Unhealthy stuff. Nom nom nom.

16. Lights on the tree?
We have white lights, but our tree’s not up this year yet, so currently – none.

17. Favorite Christmas song?
I don’t think I have one, but my least favourite is definitely Snoopy! Argh!

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home?
In the past we’ve done both, but this year we are travelling to Kaikoura.

19. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?
Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen! And Rudolph. (I totally saved this answer from last year!)

20. Angel on the tree top or a star?
A very tacky but awesome gold star.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning?
Christmas morning. Who opens them on Christmas Eve!?

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year?
People in car parks who dash in and steal OUR car park! Seriously. Who is that rude!? Also, Snoopy’s Christmas. That’s pretty annoying.

23. Favorite ornament theme or color?
My family doesn’t have a theme, but most of our decorations are red and gold. If I had my way however, things would totally be pink, purple and white!

24. Favorite memory of Christmas?
This isn’t a Christmas DAY memory, but up until a couple of years ago, I would be in various Christmas pantomimes that usually had their final night a few days before Christmas. That night was also pranks night and the night of the company’s annual Christmas party. I have so many fun memories (and photos) of various disasters, bloopers and pranks that went on during those Christmas shows! This is one of them. Before the final night party of our 2005 panto, a friend and I decided to Christmas decorate the disability toilet in the theatre’s foyer. I have a hilariously funny video of the reactions of various people being told to go and look in the toilet, and then seeing what we had done. Yeah. I think this is my favourite. <- Same answer as last year.
