Am still here. Have survived two weeks of student teaching. Nearly halfway! Am busy, but really enjoying it.

I think Year 5 is my favourite age group so far – I didn’t think I’d like them (loved teaching Year 3 in March/April), but I do!

Slightly nervous though, since snow is forecast for Christchurch this weekend, and I really don’t want school to be cancelled next week, since I have to teach so many full days in order to pass the course, and if we miss too much time due to snow days I won’t be able to get them all in before my placement finishes. Ack. :/ Soooo. hoping for fine days for the next three weeks!

In other news, I ordered this skirt today. It’s funny, ‘cos it’s SO not something I would usually even look twice at in a shop, but I fell in love with the colour (which is brighter in real life than in this photo) and am now excitedly waiting for it to arrive at the shop, since the right size for me had to be ordered.

Speaking of this lovely green skirt – a question for all you stylish bloggers reading this. If you had it…what would you wear it with…?

Bearing in mind, if you haven’t seen me, I am very light skinned, and not as thin as this model.

Super brief post just so you all know I *am* still alive, and haven’t frozen to death in the snow (which has now all melted) or been swallowed by the ground in an aftershock (which have mostly stopped, aside from one which woke me up at 3:16am this morning!)

Today was the first day of my last student teaching placement, in a Year 5 (4th grade) class. As usually tends to happen when I’m on placement, blogging takes a backseat (both due to lack of things to post about, and also because for privacy reasons I’m not going to talk much about student teaching anyway!)

But. I am still here, at least READING blogs if not finding the time to comment, and all is good in the World of Holly! :)
