…lives poor old Mr. Nameless Gnome.

Perhaps he needs a name…?

P.S: The My Memories digital scrapbooking software giveaway is still running, if anybody wants it…

My friends clearly know me far too well!

This blog post contains images containing mildly offensive language.

I have been meaning to blog about this hilarious incident for awhile now, but have kept on forgetting to take photos for it!

For my birthday a couple of weeks ago, Jenny bought me this mug…

Clearly, I was delighted, as I am quite the fan of the Wizard of Oz! I was also delighted that it’s ginormous…more coffee (or tea, actually, lately) for me!!

On my birthday, Brooke texted me to tell me that the present she’d bought me online hadn’t been delivered yet, so it would be a bit late.

Several days later it arrived and I was extremely amused to discover this…

Yep. Another Wizard of Oz-themed mug!

My first thought was of course, "Ok, clearly they have put their heads together and decided it would be funny to get me cleverly coordinated birthday presents!"

But. It turns out, that they didn’t. Neither of them knew what the other had bought me! {cue mysterious music here}

These two mugs, and their timing, were apparently total coincidences!

You know you spend too much time talking about the Wizard of Oz (Or, in my case, Wicked!!), when…!!! HAHA!

Said goodbye to some very good friends of mine today. Lindy and her husband H. are moving back home to the UK. :(

I was going to write an actual, proper blog post about them, but for some reason I can’t quite find the words, so here are some photos instead, and a LINK to where I’ve written about them before.

"How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard." – A.A. Milne1

Thank goodness for Skype, Facebook and knowing I WILL see them again. I know they love New Zealand too much to stay away forever! In the meantime, I will miss her (mostly her crazy sense of humour, inadvertently hilarious accent and really awesome sayings2!) more than she knows.

P.S: The mysterious, hairy item in the previous post was NOT a spider web, "yellow pinkbatts" or something yucky I pulled out of my hairbrush, it’s actually some nylon strands from a wig I was braiding and sorting out for a childrens’ theatre performance this coming weekend. The plastic wig moulted so much hair I’m amazed it’s not bald!

  1. This quote may actually be from Annie. I’m not sure. Various sites tend to disagree with themselves! []
  2. Whoever knew that the things that drive along the road transporting loads of things are called "lorries" instead of "trucks", or that you could describe someone as being "as subtle as a flying brick and as mad as a bucket of frogs"!? []
