Why are you thankful for blogging?
Yep. You may have noticed that I am just a tiny little bit attached to this blog.
When I first started it WAAAAAAAAY back in 2006 I never in a million years expected it would become as important to me as it has.
Why I love blogging…
- It has connected me to other bloggers. Some of you (you know who you are!!) are so similar to me I’m convinced that we share a brain, and some of are are so different that they only reason I read their blogs is because they intrigue me, which is TOTALLY not a bad reason!
- It gives me somewhere to share things I don’t necessarily want to share with people in real life. Although some of my friends read this blog, and I know anyone who knew me and Googled the right things could probably find it easily, I still like having somewhere separate to write things I don’t want to share elsewhere, like FB.
- It has inspired and encouraged me to want to teach. Oh teacher blogs, how much I appreciate you! You have no idea. ♥ I don’t know that I’d ever start my own, but I love being able to Google (or Pinterest!!) an idea or concept I have to work with, and have multiple ideas and resources pop up on other teachers’ blogs!
- It has connected me to an online adoption community I never knew existed. This is a huge thing that I love. I love finding other bloggers who "get it", and I love being able to use my experience to give *totally not professional* advice and opinions to hopefully help people.
- It has helped me deal with having AAV. Although I still haven’t managed to find anyone in the exact same situation as mine, I’ve managed to find a few people with something very similar, and that’s really valuable. It means a lot.
So, since this was supposed to be 2 on Tuesday, not FIVE, I will stop here!
Dear People Who Don’t Like This Blog,
I’m sorry to say that I’m kind of attached to it, so it’ll be sticking around for awhile.
Love, Holly
