I’m probably going to make this an annual event, so if you like the look of this, and want to participate next year, just left me know and I will let you know when I’m planning it again.

Thanks to everyone who has given me a few ideas for topics for future vlogs. I love the theatre makeup one, but I will probably save that for the next time I’m in a specific show – then maybe take my camera to the actual theatre and do it there. If anyone else has any ideas for things I could vlog about, please let me know!

Am back at college now, and am working on my major project about how teachers with no specific knowledge or training can incorporate drma into their classrooms. This is going really well, and is providing a good distraction from everything else going on in my life, which leads me to…

My health is doing ok. To be really honest I’m not feeling awesome, but all things considered I could be a good deal worse.

I have my first (of many!) blood test at the end of this month, and I think once I get through that, and DON’T get a phone call immediately afterwards telling me “Come to the hospital now because your disease is getting worse and we need to do something!”, I will feel a lot better. I have an enormous list of symptoms to watch out for and strict instructions to “GO TO THE DOCTOR OR HOSPITAL IF YOU HAVE X, Y OR Z!”, but really, so far, so good.

The picture on the left DOES have a point. It’s not just there cos it’s pretty. But…that’s a post for another day because it deserves an entry of its own. Heheh!

This is Brooke.

She often gets worried that people will forget her name, so she sticks it to her forehead¹.

It’s her birthday today.

She’s 23.

Because it is her birthday, I would like to tell you all a little story about her.

I have known Brooke since the beginning of 2000 when she transferred to my intermediate school. This Memorable Incident occurred near the end of that year, when everyone sat scholarship and class placement exams for the beginning of high school. As part of this day, the school cafeteria provided everybody with a packed lunch. In this packed lunch was a juice box.

After we had eaten our lunch, she decided, for some reason of which I have no idea, to flatten one end of her empty juice box until it resembled a handheld supermarket scanner. She then ran around scanning everything in sight (including me!) and shouting "BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!" for the rest of the afternoon. Excellent.

Yes. So this is the most exciting (and not-too-embarrassing) story I could think of about Brooke.
