Up until recently I never thought of myself as the kind of blogger who would "advertise" on her blog, or do product reviews. I don’t have anything against them, I just wasn’t sure I wanted to go down the track of advertising this, that and the next thing, just for the same of getting freebies or making money.

About a week ago I got an email from My Memories, which is a digital scrapbooking company. They wanted to know if I would be interested in downloading and reviewing a free copy of their software, and in giving away another copy of it on this blog.

Since scrapbooking is an actual, genuine interest of mine (if the offer had been for something I wasn’t interested in endorsing, I wouldn’t have done it!), and digi scrapping is something I’d heard of, but never really tried, I agreed to do it. A couple of days ago I downloaded my free copy and have been playing around with it ever since.

So far, I’m pretty impressed. It’s really, really cool!

At the moment I’m using it to create something for a friend of mine, but since that "project" is unfinished and also kind of personal, I’m not going to post those layouts here. I have to admit that I’m kind of a n00b at using this software, so you can definitely do much more impressive and awesome things with it than this, but I like it anyway. :)

Realistically, will digital scrapbooking replace the "real" kind for me? No. Definitely not. I like using really paper and flowers and rhinestones and GLITTER. It’s just not the same on the computer!

Would I recommend this software to someone who thinks they might be interested in trying digital scrapping? Yes. Definitely. Like I said, I really like it, and will most likely continue to use it for various things in the future. Things which may well pop up on this blog!

In terms of tech support, I never had to use them and so can’t comment personally, but I read on another blog (also doing this giveaway) that they were very helpful. :)
