A health post which isn’t a health post, or, Why I Am Awesome.

A few people on Twitter have been asking me how I’ve been doing with all my lovely health-related issues lately.

I’m planning to do a proper Health Update post every so often (and try to limit it to these, since as I’ve said before, I don’t want this to take over my blog), but to answer all the people who are curious, I am, overall, really great, and I thought I would share with you some of the reasons WHY…

Yep. People are why. Ever since I started talking about having this disease, I have realised just how many people I know who are awesome.

So many friends and family members have been calling and texting and Facebooking and emailing (and sending me mail1, which might be my favourite part!), just to tell me they’re thinking about me, and want to know if there is anything they could do.

Fortunately, there isn’t really a whole lot that needs doing, but just knowing that people are thinking about you and love you and want to help is amazing, especially on the days which aren’t so great.

I’d also like to mention all the lovely bloggers and Twitter friends who are also awesome. You are not forgotten! :)

Anyway! I’m not quite sure where this post is headed, at 1:30am on a Sunday morning, but I just wanted to post a quick update to help explain why I’m doing as well as I am.

  1. including some from the UK that arrived in FOUR DAYS, much to my amazement. Fastest International Mail Ever. []

Just in case there was any confusion over how much Facebook actually CARES whether people hate the new profile…

Sadly I did not create this very clever graphic and poem, but I do agree with it.

Ultimately, people can gripe and complain "Why are they fixing what’s not broken!?" all they like…but it’s not going to change. FB does not care what you think. It doesn’t have to.

You either get used to it and continue using Facebook, or you disable your account.

Ok, so hearing that probably pissed a few people off…but it’s true!

In the interests of full disclosure…I actually kind of like the new look! ;-)

Any thoughts?

What am I missing?

Question / 13 Comments

For my birthday last year I received an iPod touch. Oh good grief how did I ever survive without it!? LOL! I use it so many times every day that it’s not even funny!

Right now my iPod looks like this…

Yep. Not that many apps. I have two more whole empty screens I could fill up if I wanted to. I think the ones I use the most right now are the RSS Reader (the green one), FB, Twitter, Instagram and Solitaire. When I first got my iPod I was OBSESSED with Pocket Frogs. Seriously. It was insane. I don’t play it so much now though, only when I’m REALLY bored.

Today’s question for you is…

What am I missing?!
